My New Dress Line of Cards

I had so much fun making these cards! The top to this dress is made out of velvet paper I got a while back stamped with an Impression Obsession stamp and then cut out.  For the skirt I used a Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities' die and then shaped the bottom to (hopefully) look like a skirt. The flowers were made with a Martha Stewart punch.

Supplies same as above. Covered the skirt (oval nestabilite)  of dress  with lace.  Topped off the card with a Flourishes' sentiment  and a heart pendant.

This time I used  circle nestabilities for the skirt with the Impression Obsession stamp for the top.

Bumble Summer

This my first post in a very long time. My father has been ill since February and I've been helping my mother and him out. He is 86 years old and was still farming in January when he had a heart problem. Almost immediately after getting home, after spending a few days in the hospital, he couldn't walk. So back to the hospital he went for more tests and then to a nursing facility for therapy for two months.

To make a long story short, he can't still can't walk and probably won't be able to.  Needless to say, he is now depressed. But he is home!  I guess it's just going to take time to adjust.  My mother is holding up remarkably well and stayed home by herself for the first time in her 84 years while my dad was having therapy.

I'm so glad to be back to my card making!!  I have a card to celebrate:

Flourishes' Nasturtium Stamp Set
Martha Stewart Punch

Flourishes 100th Challenge

Flourishes is celebrating their 100th Timeless Tuesday blog hop challenge with a customer appreciation hop.  Customers design a card using their favorite Flourish stamps and the Flourish team picks the winners and awards prizes.

Please visit the link above to see what all the talented people have designed as well as detailed instructions as to what you need to do to enter. BUT, first please look at my card and leave a comment!!  Thanks a bunch!

I stamped one of my favorite Flourish stamps from the Seasonal Wreath Set on black cardstock with the Versamark watermark stamp pad, applied white embossing powder, heated it up, applied red Smooch for the berries, and viola!!
I then used Spellbinders (a must have) Label Three die for the embossed wreath and for the red cardstock background.  I mounted the duo onto Flourishes classic white cardstock (absolutely the best for coloring with Copic markers) that I had previously embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the red polka dot paper at the bottom. After putting pearls on either side of the wreath, I adhered the whole thing to red cardstock and then to a 5 x7 white card base made with Flourishes white classic cardstock.

You owe it to yourself to try Flourishes' stamps. These detailed stamps will add the mojo to any card you design. The Life, Love and Lemons set as well as the Chairs for You set are also among my favorites!!
